A Dose of Love
by Undecided ini picked up my 17 year old granddaughter at school for my daughter who wasn't feeling well.
when i got to her home and went in, emily my little 18 month old grandaughter came over to me and i picked her up to give her a hug.
she puts her head near my shoulder and snuggles up for about 2 or 3 minutes.

Can "Wordly" people go to book studies?
by Double Edge innever being a jwi have a question.
my dub friend invited me to her church (whatever) one sunday, which i of course i went - it was ok - nothing special, except i know what you mean about being "love bombed".
my question.... do any non-dubs go to the weekly bookstudies?

You might be able to get one in before they ignored you. It is not really a study. They follow all the guide lines. No vering. Unless its changed in the past 28 years, but I doubt it.

Is the UN the only place with a good library in NY? If so then I could maybe understand a little.
Let me ask this. If I was a faithful JW and I lived in a town with no KH and the only church there was a Catholic Church. I am in want of some spirtitual information and go to this church. I am not a member and I don't agree with what they say but I just want what they have to offer spiritually. Do you think I would be df'd? Would they say I should have driven miles and miles to a KH, because it wouldn't matter if I wasn't a member of the church I should not be associated in ANYWAY what so ever for any reason.
The publications have never had any great Einstien information in them, that they couldn't have found on the local news or even their own library, or the public library (which only requires you return the books) and I bet NY has a kick butt public library.
They had no valid reason to even step foot in the UN anything! BUT THEY SURE CAN JUSTIFY CAN'T THEY.

Kevin,
Maybe you could donate a little to all the charities Jon's father would hate. Do it in his name and address. He will get so much mail from these people asking for more...........Would be funny to be a fly on the wall when he gets the letters thanking him for his donation. HeHeHe!

Which did you prefer? Watchtower or Awake?
by LDH inwhen i was a jw, i really couldn't stomach the watchtowers.
the only articles i would read would be for the family study/watchtower study.
it seemed so archaic and old-people-ish.. i did read the awake from cover to cover almost every time.

Definately the Awake. I had to do a speech in grade school one year and I did something out of the Awake. I think it was on animals hybernating. YYYYuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkk!

My list has come and gone over the years. There is only one person now that holds the honor of being on my hit list. I have tried many times to forgive but this person just doesn't get it. He is my daughters significant other. I can't stand him or his mother. As long as my daughter doesn't officially marry him I hold out hope. He just keeps digging in deeper. His nick name is "THE WEIS MAN" short for weisle. Upon occasion he has been upgraded the "THE F****** WEIS MAN" total waste of human flesh. I wish him no physical harm, just wish he would exit my life. I love his daughter to pieces though.
